                                                       Brenda Burgess was born on Merseyside in 1961. She studied at Kent Institute of Art and Design and Christ Church University, Canterbury, Kent. After graduation she took up the post of Sculptor-in-Residence at The Museum of Kent Life, Sandling. Here she produced paintings and portrait sculptures whilst providing her educational workshop service to visiting 

schools.At the beginning of 2007 Brenda began working with Leeds CastleNr. Maidstone, as their resident Artist/Educator providing a comprehensive range of arts-based workshops to visiting schools. In 2012 Brenda left Leeds Castle to concentrate on providing arts-based workshops to the wider community. She now provides workshops for English Heritage for both adults and children, works closely with Godinton House, Ashford, Kent, again providing workshops for adults and their education department, Kent Life, and provides sculpture workshops for the members at the Soho House's, The Ned, London to name a but a few. 

 

Brenda's exhibitions include The Royal Academy and The Mall Galleries.

 

Brenda is married with two sons and lives in Kent.
