AN ACT OF REMEMBRANCE
Many Schools have been thinking of The First World War during the last year.
I have been working with two schools to make their own ceramic poppy wreaths.These are very special projects and I think help make young people aware that the names on war memorials belong to individuals - some of them about the same age as them. We are also making poppies on columns with the names that I have found on the local war memorial. We will be making silk-dyed poppy backdrops to show off the work.The scale may not be as vast as last years wonderful installation at The Tower of London but the young people have found it just as moving.
